Jenkinson’s First Pet Adoption was a Huge Success

It's not often you get to see that many dogs romping on the beach at Jenkinson's in Point Pleasant Beach!

It's so awesome that Jenk's is showing lots of love for our 4-legged friends, and Saturday proved that.

I am so happy to have been on hand for Jenkinson's first pet adoption event. Many pet-lovers went home with a new 4-legged friend on the spot, while others filled out adoptions forms and will get their new forever pet soon!

But it warmed my heart to see the dogs having so much fun playing in the sand, and so many pet owners bringing their own dogs to hang for the event and see if their current animals would get along with a new furry friend so that they could adopt a second pet!

Since this first event for Jenk's went so well, stay tuned for news on a bigger, even better pet adoption event on the sand at Jenkinson's this fall!

P.S. Two of the dogs pictured here, 3-year old Bella the Great Pyranese/Shepherd mix (from Pick Your Paw...link below), and the 3-legged precious boy named Liam (from Rescue Ridge...link below) that was hit by a car before he was rescued from death and had to have a leg amputated, couldn't be more perfect pets but were not adopted yesterday. Rescue groups that came out with adorable adoptables included Greyhound Friends of NJ, East Coast Pawn & Claws, Jersey Shore Animal Center, Rescue Ridge Shelter, and Pick Your Paw Animal Rescue. Please call them all next time you need a pet!
