Jersey Shore Featured on Upcoming ‘Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown’ Episode
Anthony Bourdain is one of the biggest names in the food -- and foodie TV -- worlds and on an upcoming episode of his CNN show 'Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown," the Jersey-born chef/author/host explores the Jersey Shore!
In an episode set to air May 31, Bourdain starts off the Jersey tour at a hot dog shop in North Jersey, close to where he grew up. He then heads down the Parkway to hang out in Asbury Park with the legendary Southside Johnny, also stopping in Barnegat Light and Atlantic City.
The official episode description gives more detail:
Bourdain travels to his childhood home state with his brother Chris and rekindles memories at classic roadside joint Hiram’s, known for its fried hotdogs, and Barnegat Light in Ocean County. He heads further down the shore to Atlantic City and stops by the Knife and Fork, Docks Oyster House with local reporter Brian Donohue, the Baltimore Grill to see husband and wife comedians Rich Vos and Bonnie McFarlane, and tours Asbury Park with none other than famed musician Southside Johnny.
He was spotted filming at Frank's Deli in Asbury back in late January, and stopped to take a photo with the crew of Bond St. Bar!
It really is a cool show, and considering it usually takes place in remote spots from around the globe, it's awesome that he came to show off our area. Knowing the show, this is probably the best chance we'll have to see the REAL Jersey Shore on TV...not the awful stereotypes we've seen before.
Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown airs Sunday nights at 9 on CNN. Season 5 premieres on April 26th.
