We gave you a tough Jersey Shore Quiz question yesterday with clues to help you name a local town, and it's time to give you the correct answer.

I thought it was a really tough set of clues and I was surprised that about half of you got it right. Good job and I apologize for underestimating you. Let's recap the clues we gave you...

This town’s Town Hall was built in 1953 on the corner of Moore Rd.

This town was once the home of Butcher’s Forge.

This town was named after a man named Joseph.

Around 1900, this town led it’s county in cranberry production.
Let's dig in. According to bricktownship.net, Town Hall was built at the corner of Cedar Bridge and Moore. Moore Rd. is better known today as Brick Blvd. Butcher's Forge was located along the upper Metedeconk River.

This town  was a huge cranberry producer until production was effectively ended when "Point Pleasant Canal opened, introducing salt water into the upper Barnegat Bay and Metedeconk River."
And that famous Joseph the town was named after was a man named after was none other than Joseph W. Brick.
So if you were one of the ones who knew from the original clues that it was Brick, congratulations! The rest of us start the day knowing a little more about the Jersey Shore than we did yesterday!
