The 4th of July weekend has arrived at the Jersey Shore, now we just need the weather to cooperate on this important weekend.

So, just how is the forecast looking for us over the next few days? We really could use some good fortune on this one and some good weather, too. Jersey Shore residents and business owners alike have been crossing their fingers for some good news.

And we are here to tell you that for the most part, the good weather and good fortune are, in fact, coming our way this weekend. Here's how the forecast looks for the Jersey Shore over the next three days...

Friday July 3rd...Partly sunny, it will be humid with a chance of a spot thunderstorm and a high temp of 88. At night, clouds and humid low 68.

Saturday, July 4th...Mix of sun and clouds, not as warm, but the humidity sticks around and a high of 78. Saturday night,  partly clear low 65.

Sunday July 5th...Another pretty good day, sun and clouds with a high of 82.

This is the kind of forecast that we were all looking for. If you were just looking for a good weekend to spend with family and friends, it looks like you are going to have that. And business owners will breathe a little easier if this forecast holds up.

Now, we all know how Jersey Shore weather can be, so if you've been crossing your fingers, keep it up. We don't want to take any chances. We hope the weather stays good for all of us for all sorts of reasons this weekend.

Enjoy the family, the friends, the fireworks, the barbecue or whatever you're enjoying this weekend, and remember to kick the weekend off with our live morning show broadcast from the Asbury Park Boardwalk.
