Public schools in the Garden State got very good scores in a recent study, which places our schools near the top in the nation.

Just how good did New Jersey public schools do in this Wallet Hub report? How does second in the nation sound? That is exactly where the Garden State ranks among all states. So how did the report come up with the rankings?

Wallet Hub used 25 key metrics to arrive at their conclusions, including 'quality' (New Jersey was ranked 3rd), 'safety' (we were 9th) and 'lowest dropout rate' (the Garden State was ranked #2).

We also did very well in other categories as well, including 'highest math test scores', we were 2nd in the nation, 'highest reading test score', also second there, and 'lowest pupil teacher ratio' in which placed number 4.

Congratulations to the students, teachers and parents on all their hard work and dedication to make New Jersey proud!
