The top retail company in the Garden State is Avis. We drive a lot in our state, and we rent a lot of vehicles as well.

Avis Budget Group is headquartered in Parsippany, and they are doing robust business here in the Garden State, and around the nation.

The $12 million in revenue is a far cry from the top retail outlets in the nation. They are Walmart and Amazon, and their annual revenue is jaw-dropping.

Amazon is based in Washington and has an annual revenue of $554 billion, but no retail store tops Walmart, based in Arkansas, with an annual revenue of nearly $639 billion.

Getting back to Avis, in addition to the Avis brand of rent-a-cars, Budget Rent-A-Car, Zipcar, and Budget Truck Rental fall under the company umbrella.

Over a year ago, the company moved its headquarters from a single-tenant building to a two-building campus. Both the original and new locations are in Parsippany.
