There are lots of fun events coming up in Red Bank for the holiday season and I can't wait to be a part of this Friday's kickoff with Red Bank RiverCenter!

There are already signs of the holiday season along Broad St. in Red Bank. (Laurie Cataldo)
Friday, November 28th

On Black Friday, from 5-7 p.m., you can look for me with the Point Crew in downtown Red Bank, at the corner of Broad and Canal Streets (next to Garmany, across from R.B.C.) with your chance to win prizes! The Red Bank Fire Department will be giving out free hot chocolate as we await Santa's arrival!

At 6:44 p.m., Santa's ditching the sleigh for public transit, taking an express train from Little Silver to Red Bank. (Adorable.) Once he gets off the train, he'll hop on a firetruck to lead a parade down Monmouth St. towards Broad St., which will kick off the 22nd annual Holiday Express concert and town lighting at 7!

Saturday, November 29th

Spend some time shopping on Small Business Saturday! It starts at 9 a.m. when Santa visits Carlo's Bakery for Mix 'N' Mingle with Kris Kringle!

It's also the start of the 12 Days of Christmas scavenger hunt!

Get an entry form at any participating business. Each day, different items from the song "The Twelve Days of Christmas" will be hidden in participating storefront windows in downtown Red Bank. If you keep track of them all, you can enter to win a Red Bank grand prize -- including prizes and gift certificates from Red Bank businesses!

Saturday, November 29th - Sunday, December 21st

Throughout the rest of the season, there will be free horse and wagon rides, caroling, open houses, a menorah lighting, pictures with Santa, the Holiday Flavour event, and more!

It all ends on Sunday, December 21st, so bring the family to downtown Red Bank for the holidays, and see why I am so in love with the town! For more info on upcoming Red Bank events, visit RedBank.org!

Hope to see you on Friday!
