New Jersey, obviously one of the hardest hit states from COVID-19, is also among the states slowing down the most, according to a recent study.

The report was issued by WalletHub, and lists each state and how much the state has slowed down due to the pandemic. New Jersey is ranked in the study as the third most slowed down state in America.

It is no surprise that the Garden State has slowed to a halt to help curb the virus, and the study supports that fact. Clearly, we know New York must be ahead of us, and they are at #2. So, what is the state that ranked #1?

It turns out the most slowed down state makes sense too, and that is Hawaii. So how did WalletHub reach it's conclusions? They used several categories to determine our decrease in visits in those areas .Here are some of those categories, and our state's rank...

Highest Retail & Recreation Mobility Changes...New Jersey ranked 2nd.

Highest Transit Station Mobility Change...New Jersey was tied for second.

Highest Workplace Mobility Change...The Garden State is tied for 3rd.

Highest Residential Mobility Change. New Jersey ranks #1 (tied with California, New York and Hawaii.

You can get all the details on methodology and full results of the study at WalletHub. Things are shut down throughout the country, but these numbers are certainly an eye opener to how much the Garden State has been impacted.
