Everybody has their own ways to burn the calories. But you might be amazed at some ways to burn some calories.

Some Jersey Shore residents run or walk on the boardwalk, head to the gym, do some swimming, or any of a  number of other calorie burning activities. Hey it's summer...we all want to look good.

Here are some ways you're burning calories and you might not even know it according to Marie Claire...

Laughing....yep, giggling with your friend at girls night out or watching your favorite comedy helps you burn calories...about 1.3 calories a minute to be exact.

Gardening...you can burn a significant amount of calories just by watering, weeding and planting. In 25 minutes of gardening, you can burn off 113 calories.

Chewing...yep, chewing your food burns calories. Experts say that chewing and digesting " require the body to burn a little hotter".

Chewing gum....maybe you popped that piece of gum in your mouth just to freshen your breath. Good news...it's helping you burn calories too! You will burn about 1 calorie a minute! it's better than nothing, right?
