It is true that help is needed year-round but the reason we urge for your help around the holidays is because there are hundreds of thousands of people who will be sitting out in the cold while you enjoy your warm Thanksgiving meal with friends and family.

Whether be a can of food, a few dollars or even an entire turkey, each donation makes a huge difference.

Take a look at some of the places at the donate at the Jersey Shore this holiday season:

Langosta Lounge

This beachfront will be opened on Thanksgiving for anyone in need of a hot meal. However, this is only possible because of YOUR donations which can include turkeys, hams and desserts. They also accept warm clothing and even unwrapped toys as donations which will be used around Christmas time. (They also open for people in need on Christmas)

Drop off your donations at 1000 Ocean Ave in Asbury Park. For any questions or for more information, call (732) 455- 3275.

Ocean County Hunger Relief

According to NJ1015.com, this nonprofit is desperately trying to collect 200 turkeys that will be used to provide families in need with a hot meal.

Even though donations are currently coming in, Executive Director Carol Latif says it is much slower than last year and no family should be left behind.

This nonprofit provides hot meals to elope in need at over 10 locations throughout the Jersey Shore and could really use your help.

If you plan on donating, call 732 505 HELP or drop them off at 21 Germania Station Road in Toms River.

The Pioneer Hose Volunteer Fire Co. #1 Brick Township District 1

Each year, this group collects donations for their annual Adopt-a-Family Food Drive. They collect frozen turkeys and hams, canned food and other dry goods that will be given to find local families in need.

The food won't be dropped off until the week before Christmas but they do start collecting donations now.

For any questions, please contact Captain Jimmy Kathenes at 732-477-7236. They are located at 312 Drum Point Rd in Brick Township.

Jersey Shore Rescue

Instead of schlepping to the store to buy a turkey, this jersey shore nonprofit can also accept online monetary donations.

For just $2.82, a hot meal can be provided to a person in need. They of course take food donations but from the looks of it, the monetary donations would be put to better use because their goal is to fundraise enough so they can give out 2,033 meals by Thanksgiving. Wouldn't you want to be a part of that?

Click HERE to donate or you can head to 701 Memorial Drive in Asbury Park to donate in person.

The Musillo Family

Last year, this amazing family who lives in Howell put together Thanksgiving care packages for local families in need and they are back to do it again this year.

Their goal is to put together more baskets than last year. They are aiming to collect enough donations to put together 45 baskets which would be their personal best thus far.

Donations can include frozen turkeys, stuffing, canned sweet potatoes, vegetables, gravy, cranberry sauce.

Donations can be dropped off on November 21st and 22nd and then the baskets will be handed out on Nov 23rd and 24th.

For the address to drop off donations or any other questions, email soko715@yahoo.com.

6th Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive

However, they are still accepting nonperishable food items that will accompany the turkeys to  create a full Thanksgiving meal. You can also donate gift cards which will be used to purchase more nonperishable food items or help take care of any other costs.

Donations should be dropped off by 6:00 PM on Nov 20th at their home located at 816 Mizzen Ave in Beachwood.

Your donation would benefit: Ocean of Love, Providence House Domestic Violence Services, People's Pantry and JBJ Soul Kitchen in Toms River
