Wherever you went this weekend, someone was bound to ask. Have you heard about the snow for Thanksgiving?

I was raking leaves yesterday and two people stopped me to break the news. So, are we really getting snow for Thanksgiving? I asked meteorologist Dan Zarrow the question everyone wants the answer to. Here's what he says.

Dan's forecast..." Rain transitioning to mostly snow for most of the state by late afternoon and evening on Wednesday.  3 to 6 inches of accumulation possible in Northwest Jersey... For Monmouth and Ocean Counties it looks like mostly rain, but there is a possibility of 1 to 2 inches inland, and perhaps a coating of snow right along the coast.

So, it looks like the worst of it will be north and west, but Dan says to expect sloppy travel conditions for a while. His Thanksgiving day forecast calls for some early snow showers, then clear with a high in the 40s..

So, depending on where you're heading for Thanksgiving, the ride may be a challenging one. Be careful!
