You gotta give it to The Pier in Seaside Heights because this is a genius set up -- especially with everything going on in the world right now.

If you had to the shoreline at Ocean Terrace, you will notice various food trucks set up near red, white and blue picnic tables that are open and ready for business!!

If you are coming from the adjoining private beach, you can purchase your food and drinks and then a server will deliver you your order.

Passerbyers can walk up and order on their own.

You will also be allowed to purchase drinks from a nearby outdoor bar.

Hours each day are varying but the ultimate goal is to have this outdoor area be open from 11:00 AM to 12:00 AM every day.

The food trucks that have visited thus far include Your Sister's Balls (meatballs lol), Pizza Vita, Falafull, Beach Buns and Rico Sabor.

Other food trucks will be visiting The Pier at some point this Summer and the cuisine ranges anywhere from Italian to Cuban to Asian!

And did we also mention that The Pier hosts daily fitness classes in the morning?

This outdoor set up is expected to be open until October 1, 2020.

And this cool set up is only the start of it.

According to Ben Mabie, one of the managers of the beachfront property, they are hoping to install a 17,000 square-foot beach bar, a banquet facility and a 28,000 square-foot beach club!

Of course, the coronavirus pandemic has slowed down construction on this project but Mabie did say that he hopes everything will be ready to go by Memorial Day 2021.

“I know the mayor and the council are very focused on trying to retool and rebrand Seaside Heights to make it more family oriented, and I hope that this is one of the first steps to help them facilitate that vision,” Mabie said.

So give these food trucks a try! You get to enjoy the outdoors, a nice cocktail AND a killer view all at the same time! Plus, you are supporting our local businesses!

It's a win-win-win!
