Most hammerhead sharks are relatively small, and considered harmless to humans, according to National Geographic, Elias is only about 7 feet long and weighs about 100 lbs. There are nine types of hammerheads, the largest being the great hammerhead, which can grow to 20 feet and 1000 lbs. Even when it comes to the largest of the hammerheads, "few attacks have been recorded", according to National Geographic.
