Competitive eating is remarkable. We all might think it's a little disgusting but we have to give credit where credit is due. Men and women from all over the world continue to break outrageous eating records. For example, in 2018 Carmen Cincotti ate 2.43 gallons of chili in 6 minutes, and how about in 2005, Cookie Jarvis ate over 8 pounds of grapes in 10 minutes. These eaters are all highly skilled but no one can compare to Joey Chestnut.

Joey "Jaws" Chestnutt is known as the greatest eater in history. You might know him from shoveling Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs down his throat every Fourth of July. In 2020 he ate 75 Nathan's Hot Dogs, that's a world record! He has over 50 eating world records. Chestnutt once ate 47 grilled cheese sandwiches in 10 minutes and 81 waffles in 8 minutes. The dude is out of control and he is who you are going to have to beat for the pork roll eating world record... Good luck!

Pre COVID-19, in 2019 Chesnutt ate 61.5 pork roll sandwiches in 10 minutes. This was at the Trenton Thunder World Famous Case's Pork Roll Eating Championship. The person who came in second ate 43 sandwiches, which is still very impressive. Sooo what do you think? It's a long shot but how many pork roll sandwiches do you think you can eat in 10 minutes? For me, I can possibly take down 5 sandwiches... if I am hungover from the night before, I would easily be able to take down 10 sandwiches. (As we know pork roll just hits different when you are hungover.) Ketchup or no ketchup? If you plan to try and beat Chestnutt's record, please be careful! The last thing I need is someone choking because they saw this article. 61.5 pork roll sandwiches in 10 minutes... Can you do it?? In the meantime, here are some pictures of pork roll sandwiches from our favorite Jersey Shore bagel spots.
