With Halloween a month away, you're beginning to hear a lot of ghost stories and tales of haunted places. And we have several right here at the Jersey Shore.

We've already talked about the Monmouth University Library story, now we move to the beach. To be exact, we move to the beaches of Sandy Hook. Have you met the ghost of Captain Joshua Huddy?

Captain Huddy was a commander in the Revolutionary War, and when he was captured by the British, he was sentenced to hang. The Captain's execution was overseen by someone who had been a friend and neighbor to the Captain before he switched over to the British side, according to bestofnj.com.

The story says Captain Huddy's ghost, having been betrayed by a friend, still wanders the beach at Sandy Hook because it is so close to the location of his execution. And, according to stories, his ghost approaches people on the beach in order to determine if they have British or American accents! The good news is the ghost never makes it to the people, disappearing just before reaching them.

If you love Halloween, then you're going to love The Glow! Get all the details and we'll see you there!
