Halloween is rapidly approaching, and what better way to get in the mood than with some festive cocktails?

This week's recipe comes courtesy of Courvoisier cognac!

If you're the kind of person who always sticks to the basic liquors like vodka or rum, this kind of flavorful, fruity cocktail is a great way to branch out and try something new!

Let's shake up an Apricot Haunt! (Again, like with last week's cocktail, .75 oz = 1 part = 1/2 a shot glass!)

Ingredients:

  • .75 oz Courvoisier®  VS
  • .75 oz. fresh lemon sour (*see recipe below)
  • .75 Tbls. (1/4 shot glass) DeKuyper® Apricot Brandy
  • 3 oz. apple cider
  • lemon twist, to garnish
  • cinnamon, to garnish

Shake all ingredients over ice and strain into chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with lemon twist and a dash of cinnamon!

*To make fresh lemon sour, mix 1 cup water with 1 cup sugar, and boil until sugar is completely dissolved. Let cool, and combine with 1 cup fresh lemon juice and zest of 1 lemon.

Switch it up:

In place of the apricot, try Applejack, or a different flavored brandy. (Blackberry Haunt!)
Use more or less Courvoisier, lemon sour, or cider to suit your tastes.
Try it warm, as a take on mulled cider!

*Please drink responsibly.*
