Curtains Up for Kids Program at The Basie

The Count Basie Theatre is part of a fundraising challenge to raise money for a special program for kids. Here's how you can help.

Each year, the OceanFirst Foundation holds its Charity Challenge where they will award grant money to local non-profits that raises the most money.

This is a great way for The Basie to raise awareness and money for its Curtains Up for Kids program where they welcome thousands of students that want to experience live performances. For many children, this is their first or only opportunity to do so.

From classical music with modern twists, to the diversity of Asian and African artistry or historical plays, the Basie lets students experience different forms of culture and artistic expression.

This Charity Challenge will allow you to donate directly to Curtains Up for Kids, or start your own 'spinoff' fundraiser! The easiest way, of course, is through social media. SO...maybe you can share this post and have your friends CLICK ON THIS LINK to make a donation or set up a spinoff effort.

In fact, The Basie is offering those people or organizations who set up a spinoff campaign $1,000 in Basie tickets as part of a congratulatory 'Distinguished Guest" membership! (Minimum $2,000 to qualify.)
