Dark and Stormy – Cocktail of the Week

This week's weather was kind of miserable...and our inspiration for the cocktail of the week!

The Dark and Stormy is a drink with island roots, (the official version was named and trademarked by Bermuda's Gosling's rum) and is similar to the famous Moscow Mule.

It's a simple combination of flavors that create a refreshing, delicious drink!

Ingredients:

• 1.5 oz. dark rum, chilled
• 4 oz. ginger beer, chilled (NOT ginger ale)
• splash of fresh lime juice (optional)
• lime wheel, to garnish

Combine all ingredients over ice in a tall glass, and gently stir. Garnish with lime wheel, and enjoy!

Note: The trademarked Dark 'N' Stormy calls for no lime juice...but I think it tastes better with a little lime, hence not using the official trademarked name and recipe!
