If you think of the Garden State's 'prettiest town' there are several that probably come to your mind. So, which one is the 'prettiest'?

Well, if the town names that came to your mind are in Monmouth or Ocean Counties, then your answer is incorrect, at least according to a recent publication, which listed the prettiest towns in each of the state in the U.S.A.

If you're like me, you may have thought of Spring Lake, or Avon-by-the-Sea, or Ocean Grove or Point Pleasant or Manasquan or Bay Head, but none of those towns top the list, according to The Daily Meal.

According to the Daily Meal article, the prettiest town in New Jersey is Cape May. I absolutely love Cape May, but I feel like it's always the default answer in these national surveys, and I wish the research went a little deeper to uncover some great towns right around here.

Now, each of us have a favorite town at the Jersey Shore because we go there all the time, or maybe because we live there, so we're probably not completely objective, but it just seems that a Monmouth or Ocean County town would top more of these lists.

Anyway, you can check out the prettiest town in every state at the Daily Meal and see if you agree.
