Sometimes you just need to treat yourself. This week is all about dessert in a glass with the Key Lime Pie Martini!

Key limes are different than regular limes in that they are much smaller and definitely more tart than regular limes. I've seen bags of them at my local grocery store, but if you can't get the fresh ones, you can get it bottled.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz vanilla vodka
  • .5 oz vanilla liqueur (like Licor 43)
  • 1 oz. key lime juice
  • 1 oz. cream
  • graham cracker crumbs (to garnish)
  • lime wheels (to garnish)

Rim a chilled martini glass with the graham cracker crumbs, using lime slice to wet the glass. Shake the first four ingredients over ice and strain into the glass, garnishing with lime wheel. Enjoy!

As always, you can play with the recipe to suit your taste, using more juice if you want it more lime-y, or more cream or vanilla if you'd like it to be creamier or less tart.

Ways to switch it up:

Use key lime liqueur instead of fresh juice to make a stronger cocktail.
Cut the lime juice with mango or strawberry puree.
Blend the ingredients with ice for a frozen treat!

*Please drink responsibly.*
