There are few states in the nation that are better for working dads than right here in the Garden State.

With Father's Day approaching, WalletHub looked at 20 different indicators, including the average length of the work day for men, the health of men, and the cost of child care in each state.

When the results were tabulated, things looked pretty good for our dads in New Jersey, as the Garden State ranks 6th among all states in the nation, as well as Washington, D.C., for working dads.

One of the factors that contributed to the high ranking was the highest median family income here in New Jersey, which ranks 4th in the nation.

Other Garden State rankings revealed in the research include "economic and social well being" (5th), and "child care" which places New Jersey as 6th best in the nation."Health" was not a strong category for New Jersey, which landed at #19.

The state that came out on top for working dads was Connecticut, while West Virginia ranked the lowest in the nation.

These are pretty strong and positive results for the hard working dads at the Jersey Shore and all over the Garden State.
