Paloma – Cocktail of the Week
It's National Tequila Day, so let's celebrate!
This week's cocktail could not be easier to make, and it's refreshing and delicious!
The Paloma is a pretty standard cocktail that combines the flavors of tequila and citrus in a fabulously fizzy way.
Pro tip: Never settle for cheap tequila. Just don't.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. tequila (blanco is fine, but use what you like!)
- 2 oz. grapefruit soda (I recommend Jarritos, but Fresca works too)
- .5 oz. fresh lime juice
- fresh lime wedge, to garnish
- salt, to garnish (optional)
If desired, rim a tall glass with salt. Fill the salt-rimmed glass with ice, then combine the tequila, lime juice, and soda. Garnish with a fresh lime wedge, and enjoy!
Switch it up:
Use more or less tequila, soda, or lime juice to suit your tastes.
Replace the lime juice with fresh ruby red or regular grapefruit juice.
Add a little chipotle chile powder to the salt before rimming the glass.
