Playa Bowls Makes Major Announcement, Multiple New Locations Planned

Jersey Shore-based company Playa Bowls is spreading the joy of their Insta-famous healthy treats with several new area restaurants, and one with a major upgrade!

Playa Bowls is best known for their acai bowls, which are basically like super-thick smoothies in a bowl, topped with lots of fresh fruit and others goodies like Nutella, almond butter, chia seeds, or granola.

In addition to the acai, they also have pitaya (dragonfruit), coconut, oatmeal, chia pudding, or green (kale) bowls, not to mention juices, smoothies, and even soups!

They'll open their newest location on Front St. in Red Bank this week, with the grand opening set for this Friday, February 10th!

But wait, it gets better! A spokesperson tells me Playa Bowls is planning to open in the The Shoppes at Brownstone Square at 645 Mantoloking Rd. in Brick in April or May, complete with the chain's first drive-thru!

Game changer.

There are also plans to open a store on the boardwalk in Asbury Park, and another in Millburn (Essex County) but there's no timeline on those just yet.

I can only recommend you try Playa Bowls for yourself, but for real, Nutella Bowl all day!! It's just a totally refreshing (and surprisingly filling) option for breakfast or lunch.
