Memorial Day Weekend

When you saw the forecast at the end of last week, you knew it wasn't what local attractions and businesses wanted to hear. The weather certainly took it's toll on Sandy Hook

I spent some time Saturday at Nicholas Pools in Toms River for their Customer Appreciation Days and lots of people were coming in for supplies and advice. It's pool opening season!

Is there anything better than the first hot dog or hamburger from the grill when the weather finally breaks? I know Memorial Day is the unofficial start to summer, but the first hot dog has got to be a close second.

Anyone else sick of the snow, the cold, and everything about winter? I sure am, which is why I'm very excited to announce that today marks a very important milestone in the year.

With today's announcement that Beyonce would be headlining shows Memorial Day Weekend in Atlantic City at the new Revel Casino, I thought I'd take a peek at prices for hotel rooms. It's a good thing I was sitting down.

Beyonce may just be a superhero (or a workaholic). After giving birth to her first daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, in January, she is preparing to kick off summer with a few shows right in our backyard.

So on this cold and rainy day, I can't help but think about how nice a warm and sunny beach day would be...complete with flip flops and that yummy smell of sunscreen...and so I'm here to let you know the countdown is on. Exactly how far away is Memorial Day Weekend?
