People all over the country say that people from the Jersey Shore have a bit of an attitude. Do you think you have it?

First of all,I'm not sure that it's an attitude at all. It's more of us just being the way we are. "Attitude" has a negative connotation sometimes, and I certainly don't think the way we are is negative. At least not most of the time.

So what is the Jersey Shore attitude exactly. We asked some area residents what they thought about it and there were some pretty interesting answers. Most people thought it had something to do with the way we drive. Many thought it had to do with the way we talk or more specifically choose our words.

We also asked residents what words a person wit Jersey Shore attitude uses, and here are the top three...

Whatevuh....be careful here, it's not the more traditional "whatever". Also remember a person with a true Jersey Shore attitude can put the emphasis on any (or several) syllables of this word, depending on the particular conversation.

Are you serious right now? We like to be specific here at the Jersey Shore. Maybe it's because of the amount of litigation in the Garden State. For those not from the Shore, when we say this phrase, we want to let you know that we are not only unhappy with what you've done, but we are especially perturbed at this particular moment.

Did you just do that?? This is a legendary phrase that Jersey Shore people say to ourselves about you while we're driving. We often embellish this phrase with some choice unprintable words. We also have made an art form of repeating this phrase a second time but saying it louder, slower and with emphasis on the last three words.

Let's try it in it's full form..."Did you just do that??(Pause for three seconds) Did you JUST...DO...THAT??.

Ladies and gentlemen, that's our tribute to the Jersey Shore attitude. I don't think it's a bad thing. Do you?
