If you are looking for a great Thanksgiving getaway, one website lists two Monmouth County towns as the best in the state.

While most people think of the Jersey Shore area as a summer getaway destination, and it's a great one of course, tripping.com has named the 9 best New Jersey towns for a Thanksgiving getaway and the top two towns are in Monmouth County.

So which towns grabbed the honor? A big congratulations to Red Bank and Farmingdale for being #1 and #2 respectively. Who doesn't want to visit these great towns, right?

For Red Bank, it was all about the shopping and the town lighting and Holiday Express show and for Farmingdale, the highlight of course is Allaire Village and all the great things to experience there.

This year is the 27th annual Town Lighting and Holiday Express Concert in Red Bank, and will take place Friday, November 29th, and Allaire Village will celebrate an early 19th century Thanksgiving Sunday November 24th, starting at 11:00am.
