What Was Totally Awesome About The 80’s? [POLL]

As we get ready to celebrate the 8o's at our Totally Awesome 80's Party Thursday night at The Headliner, I started to think about what was the most totally awesome thing about the 80's.

For me, the first thing that comes to mind is clothes. What in the world were we thinking. Between Madonna and Miami Vice we didn't stand much of a chance. And then there was the big hair, and when Jersey Shore people call hair big, you know we mean it.

Then there were the movies. Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Pretty in Pink and The Breakfast Club. How about Back to The Future and The Empire Strikes Back and Top Gun, Fatal Attraction and Ghostbusters. Good times at the theater.

The TV shows were unforgettable too.  There was The Cosby Show, MacGyver, Who's The Boss and Taxi. Plus Dallas, Saved By The Bell and The Dukes of Hazzard, and you can't forget The Wonder Years and The Simpsons.

And of course the music really defined the decade. We were all Livin' On a Prayer, Walkin Like An Egyptian and Gettin Out Of Our Dreams And Into Our Car. In the 80's Everybody Wanted To Rule The World and most of us were Giving Love a Bad Name.

The 80's made some great memories, even if some of the pictures are hard to look at!
