Fall is here at the Jersey Shore, but Mother Nature has her flip flops on today with temps near 80 degrees...good thing we have the perfect cocktail for keeping cool!

Bonus: when the weather finally cools down, this recipe is perfect as a hot drink too!

Spiked Apple Cider is so very easy, and so very fall!

I love getting fresh apple cider at this time of year, and if you can pick some up from a local orchard, even better! Just don't try substituting apple juice for the cider -- it's not the same!

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. caramel vodka
  • 1 oz. cinnamon whisky (like Fireball)
  • 3 oz. fresh apple cider
  • apple chip, or fresh apple slice, to garnish (optional)

Shake all ingredients with ice then pour into a tall glass. Done!

Want to enjoy it hot? Simply add the ingredients to a saucepan and heat on low -- or make a big batch in your slow cooker! (It'll make your house smell AMAZING.)

Switch it up:

Try it with lemon or orange-flavored vodka instead of caramel.
Use a ginger liqueur (like THIS) instead of cinnamon whisky (and swap the caramel vodka for plain!)

*Please drink responsibly.*
