Steve from Cibo e Vino in Asbury Park created Steve's Super Cider -- a blend of CD vodka, apple cider and apple juice with a bit of nutmeg and brown sugar, garnished with an apple chip!

Now, the real thing isn't usually on the menu at Cibo e Vino (maybe if you go visit Steve and ask him nicely he'll make it for you), but you can try to make your own version!

Since the cider and juice are already sweet on their own, I'd recommend infusing the vodka with the brown sugar and nutmeg...or just using them to rim the glass!

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz vodka
  • 1.5 oz apple juice
  • 1.5 oz apple cider
  • brown sugar, nutmeg, and apple chip, to garnish

Shake all ingredients over ice and strain into chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a dehydrated apple chip...and enjoy!

Switch it up:

Use a flavored vodka -- caramel, vanilla, or cranberry would be nice with this!
Try it warm for a nice cold-weather treat!
Use more or less vodka, juice, or cider to suit your tastes!

It's a simple, delicious cocktail that fits in perfectly with this time of year! Cheers!
