I've been on a ginger beer kick lately, and whether it's in a Dark and Stormy, a traditional Moscow Mule, or another creative cocktail, I just love the sweet and spicy flavor it adds!

This week's cocktail is a seasonal twist on a classic...so let's get to it!

The Apple Mule is a riff on the Moscow Mule: a basic cocktail with vodka, lime, and ginger beer. They are usually served in a copper mug, which I'd absolutely recommend for this!

Even though you can generally only find them in liquor stores, most ginger beers are non-alcoholic, but you'll want to check the labels so you know what you're getting yourself into!

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz vodka
  • 2 oz. apple cider
  • juice of a lemon wedge
  • 4 oz. ginger beer
  • cinnamon stick, to garnish (optional)

Fill your copper mug with ice, then add the vodka, cider, and juice. Give it a quick stir, then top with the ginger beer. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and lemon wedge. (You'll want to lightly stir when you drink it!)

So good!

Switch it up:

Instead of plain vodka, use ginger or apple-flavored vodka for more flavor!
Use lime juice instead of lemon juice.

*Please drink responsibly.*
