When it comes to the most fit cities in the world, no New Jersey towns make the top 10. But the good news is we're nowhere to be found in the bottom 10 either.

It's not a good sign that you breathe a sigh of relief when you hear than no New Jersey towns made the most unfit top 10 in America, but before we throw a party complete with cheese fries and sausage and pepper sandwiches, we didn't make the top 10 most fit list either.

It's interesting, because there are two distinct sides to New Jersey fitness. There are the thousands of people who are constantly on the run. Busy work schedules, busy family schedules, crazy hours and very little sleep. Sometimes the only chance these people get to eat is while they're sitting in traffic. And the selections are rarely nutritious.

Then there are the thousands of work out people. It's always healthy food, always exercise and always good metabolisms and low body fat. These are the people who get their workout in no matter what the weather. They are the ones who have the commitment many of us wish we had.

It's these two extremes that make us think that New Jersey could have made either of the two lists. It didn't because most of us are somewhere in the middle. We do some working out, try to eat the best we can and try to eat that food at an actual table as often as possible. We always try our best to do the right thing. Sometimes we succeed, sometimes we wind up at the drive thru. And that's one of the things that makes New Jersey endearing...and real.

By the way, the most fit town in America, according to msn.com, is Boulder Colorado. The most obese metro area is  McAllen-Edinburg-Mission, Texas. Check out the whole list to see what towns landed where on the list.
